2015 Muri Express Derailment
The Muri Express derailed near Sirathu railway station in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh on 25 May 2015.
==Accident==
Four people were killed immediately. Officials of Kaushambi district administration said that eight bogies derailed, including two general coaches and four sleeper coaches. The ''Muri express'', train No 18109, from Rourkela in Odisha to Jammu Tawi, derailed three kilometres from Sirathu railway station at around 2pm. Sirathu station falls in the Allahabad-Kanpur Central section of the busy Delhi-Howrah route. The death toll is expected to rise. Many injured passengers are said to be in critical condition.
Local villagers were the first to come for rescue. Indian Railways has rushed a relief train from Allahabad to the spot. The cause of derailment is not known. The accident disrupted movement of other trains.〔http://m.timesofindia.com/india/Muri-Express-derails-in-UP-4-dead/articleshow/47415691.cms〕
